Carcavelos Surf School

Carcavelos Surf School is a surf school in Carcavelos, Lisbon, Portugal.

Carcavelos Surf School opened in 2001 as the first surf school on Carcavelos Beach and remains FPS- and Turismo de Portugal–certified. Lessons run year-round with Human Motricity University graduates as coaches, softboards and modern wetsuits, plus lockers and an outdoor shower at the beach facilities between Lisbon and Cascais.

Lessons

  • Group surf lessons — 1.5 hours; ages 12+; all levels; board, wetsuit and certified instructor included
  • Kids surf lessons — 1.5 hours; ages 6–11; softboards and close supervision
  • Kids surf packs — multiple sessions for ages 6–11
  • Private surf lessons — 2 hours; ages 5+; board and wetsuit included
  • Adult surf lesson packs — multiple progression sessions; ages 12+
  • Surf lessons with transport from Lisbon — about 3 hours total; ages 14+; downtown Lisbon pick-up
