Escuela de Surf Sardinero is a surf school in Santander, Cantabria, Spain.

Escuela de Surf Sardinero opened in 2005 as the first surf school in the city of Santander, with beachfront school and shop space under the Balneario on Primera Playa del Sardinero. Rip Curl–sponsored coaches (Técnicos Deportivos I/II and aquatic rescue) run a mobile-school model that moves pupils to the day’s best conditions, and summer 2026 inscription is open on the site.

Lessons

  • Surf Park — ages 6–11 initiation on El Sardinero; Mon–Fri 11:00–13:00; board, wetsuit, RC insurance and municipal fees included; must be 6+ and able to swim
  • Surf Van — ages 12+ first and second level; exclusive groups of up to 16; El Sardinero or Liencres depending on conditions; school vans for transfers; Mon–Fri 9:30–11:30 or 12:15–14:15; weekend Sat–Sun option; board, wetsuit, RC insurance and municipal fees included
  • Private surf lessons — personalised sessions with high-level accredited coaches; schedule by availability

  • Surfboard hire: 1h €10, 2h €12, 3h/half day €15, 1 day €25, 2 days €36, 5 days €75, 7 days €95
