FreeRide Surfing

FreeRide Surfing is a surf school in Sagres, Algarve, Portugal.

FreeRide Surfing has been based in Sagres since 2002, with a year-round surf centre at Hotel Memmo Baleeira and a summer beach hut at Praia do Cordoama. Local owners and a large certified coaching team cover beginners through advanced coaching, guiding both south- and west-coast breaks.

Lessons

Group lessons — 2h30 total (about 1.5–2 hours in water); equipment, transport and sports insurance included; morning sessions approx. 09:00–09:30; min age 12
Private lessons — 1h30–2h00; 1–5 people (family privates 3–5); equipment and transport included; min age 6
Advanced surf coaching
Guided surfing for independent surfers — 2h30–3h; local guide, transport and insurance; available February–June and September–December
