Wavesensations is a surf school in Sagres, Algarve, Portugal.

Wavesensations is a family-run Sagres operation combining a surf school, central surf shop, board rentals, and a surf house near Tonel. Instructors live and surf locally year-round and pick the day’s beach from Tonel, Mareta, Beliche and nearby spots based on tide, wind and swell rather than teaching at one fixed break.

Lessons

  • Group surf lessons (Level 1–2 beginners; max 1:8; 2 sessions totalling ~3 hours; morning from 8:30 or afternoon; equipment, insurance and beach transfer included; min age 12)
  • Kids surf lessons (Level 1–2; max 1:4; ~2.5 hours morning; June–August; responsible adult must stay on the beach; min age 6)
  • Private surf lessons (all levels; max 1:2; 2 sessions totalling ~3 hours; equipment, insurance and private transfer included; min age 6)
  • Surf coaching for independent surfers (Level 3–4; max 1:6; ~3 hours morning Sept–May; video analysis, technical and mobility training; not for beginners)
